The mission of the Nanticoke Watershed Alliance is to conserve the natural, cultural, and recreational resources of the Nanticoke River watershed. We accomplish this by pursuing the following objectives:
- foster public support through education, outreach, and advocacy
- develop partnerships with and between indigenous peoples, landowners, private organizations, businesses, and all levels of government in Maryland and Delaware
- promote the protection of fish and wildlife resources and their habitat
- seek to improve river water quality
- promote and support low impact development and land use throughout the watershed
- develop activities that emphasize the river's cultural history
- develop opportunities for low impact recreational uses in the watershed
Each of the projects you see listed on this page has helped us meet one or more of these objectives.
