The mission of the Nanticoke Watershed Alliance is to conserve the natural, cultural, and recreational resources of the Nanticoke River watershed. We accomplish this by pursuing the following objectives:

• foster public support through education, outreach, and advocacy

• develop partnerships with and between indigenous peoples, landowners, private organizations, businesses, and all levels of government in Maryland and Delaware

• promote the protection of fish and wildlife resources and their habitat

• seek to improve river water quality

• promote and support low impact development and land use throughout the watershed

• develop activities that emphasize the river's cultural history

• develop opportunities for low impact recreational uses in the watershed
